ROOTED IN THE HIMALAYAS
Born in the hills. Made to carry their warmth forward.
Taruli began from a small home in the mountains with a simple motivation: to preserve familiar recipes, honour carefully selected ingredients and create food that carries a genuine connection to place.
What starts with pickles is intended to grow into a wider collection of thoughtfully crafted Himalayan foods—built around tradition, responsible sourcing and meaningful local participation.

GROWING TOGETHER
Crafted with care. Built to create opportunity.
As Taruli grows, we want that progress to be shared. We are building opportunities for women from nearby villages to contribute their skills, participate in food preparation and become part of a growing local enterprise.
Our aim is to create respectful work closer to home, recognise traditional knowledge and support greater confidence and financial participation without requiring women to leave their communities.

FROM THE HILLS
From mountain doorsteps to our kitchen.
We believe meaningful sourcing begins with people, not markets. Wherever possible, we purchase nearly all our raw materials and ingredients directly from small farmers and village households across the mountains, selecting seasonal harvests close to their doorsteps rather than depending primarily on large commercial farms or open wholesale markets.
This allows us to stay closer to the source, understand the produce we use and create dependable demand for local harvests—helping more value remain within mountain communities.
Doorstep Procurement
Buying closer to farmers and village households wherever our operations allow.
Carefully Selected Harvests
Selecting produce for quality, freshness and suitability for each recipe.
Supporting Local Livelihoods
Encouraging small farmers by creating demand for what they grow.
